Sing Your Pain Away is a weekly class of singing, laughter and general silliness designed to promote wellbeing, health and fun. It is designed for anyone who suffers from a long-term health condition, has been through a tough time, is suffering from the general aches and pains we all experience as we get older or indeed just loves singing and laughter!  

While the feel-good effects of singing have long been recognised, there's growing evidence that it can have a positive impact on a whole range of physical and psychological conditions, from reducing pain and increasing pain-relieving endorphins to reducing anxiety and lifting mood. Joining a singing group also has the social element of meeting other people and achieving something together. Our friendly weekly classes are about fun group singing in unison or simple harmony and incorporate breathing techniques. There is no pressure, we don't perform at concerts nor do we ask our members to make a long-term commitment, it's much more about singing for enjoyment, having a social get together, building up some repertoire and generally getting that great uplifting feeling you get when you sing together as a group.

Classes last an hour and you can pay-as-you-go or buy a block of tickets at a discounted rate. No previous musical or singing experience is necessary; even if you think you can't sing we will teach you some basic techniques so that you may end up surprising yourself with how much you can achieve!
