Sing Your Pain Away!
Singing Groups and Choirs for Wellbeing, Health and Fun
Romsey Singing Group / Choir
Sing, laugh, socialise, feel uplifted and make new friends at our Romsey singing group!
Our Romsey choir started at The Wisdom Centre near the Abbey in Romsey in 2019, and the singing group now meets at the Dr Peter Centre (behind the Alma Road Fire Station) on Mondays at 2pm.
The Romsey singing group is a sociable, inclusive and friendly group, where everyone soon becomes part of the close knit SYPA family. The group is as much about laughter and socialising as it is about singing.
There are no performances and no judgement. We sing for joy, health and wellbeing. it doesn't matter if you have a good voice or think you can't sing - everyone is welcome.
The singing group is open to adult men and women, and there is no minimum or maximum age.
We would love to have some more singers, so why not come along to our next open rehearsal for a free trial session? You will be assured a very warm welcome.

Romsey Singing Group Ethos
Like all of our SYPA singing groups, the SYPA choir in Romsey is as much about socialising and feel-good factor as it is about singing. Once a month we have a sociable cuppa and cake in town after class and the choir has a WhatsApp group for exchanging news and photos, as well as arranging practicalities like lift shares.
Twice a year we have a "sing and social" event where we sing through our favourite songs from that term and then enjoy some social time over a buffet.
The group is open to everyone regardless of singing ability, and there is absolutely no judgement. You certainly don't need to be in pain to join us, but if you are, rest assured that our Romsey singing venue is fully accessible with free parking onsite and close to public transport. There is also the option to sit or stand or move around as you wish during our session.
